What's On
South Island National Dahlia Show

12:00pm 20 Feb 2021 - 4:00pm 20 Feb 2021
Expect a sea of colour when the South Island National Dahlia Show takes place in Invercargill over the weekend of 20 and 21 February next year.
The show, which also celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Southland Dahlia Circle, will take place at the Southland Indoor Bowls Stadium at 50 Onslow Street in Invercargill.
The show will feature between 500-600 vases of dahlias which equates to over 1000 blooms and the public can come and enjoy the quality of the exhibits on Saturday 20 February between 12pm and 5pm and then on the following day, Sunday 21 February, from 9am until 4pm.
It will be the first national Dahlia Show in Invercargill since 1985.
There will also be a number of garden related stalls for the public to peruse.
Convenor of the show, Walter Jack, says “the show will bring with it plenty of colour and it will be something that a lot of Invercargill people have not seen for a long, long time. We have exhibitors coming from as far afield from Nelson and Blenheim so it will definitely be worth a visit over the weekend of 20/21 February.”
Entry to the show will be a gold coin donation while admission for children is free.
